Integrity Tester
Wire and Cables Circuit Integrity Tester Product Introduction:
Monitor the current, voltage and gas flow rate during the test, and
the test result curve can be output and printed. It is suitable for
mineral insulated cables with rated voltage not exceeding 0.6~1KV,
and keeps the circuit intact for a long time under flame
conditions. It complies with the British fire-resistant cable
standard BS6387 "Specification for cable performance requirements
to keep the circuit intact under fire conditions".

Wire and Cables Circuit Integrity Tester Technical Features:
I. BS Fire resistance test:
1. Cable support system: The cable is clamped horizontally at one
end of the cable sheath by a clamp. The middle part of the cable is
fixed by two metal rings (300mm apart), and the metal rings are
grounded to other metal parts of the device. For unarmored cables
with a diameter less than 10mm, or other cables that are
significantly displaced during the test, three additional metal
rings are required, each fixed at about 150mm from the original
metal ring;
2. Continuous detection device: During the test, let the current
pass through all the cores of the cable, a three-phase
star-connected transformer with sufficient capacity to maintain the
maximum allowable leakage current of 2A under the test voltage,
connect a load to each core at the other end of the cable, and load
a current close to 0.25A at the rated voltage of the cable;
3. Heat source: a burner that complies with AGF-1857B and has a
nozzle length of 610mm;
4. Temperature measurement: a thermometer with a diameter of 1.5mm
armor is placed near the air inlet, parallel to the burner and 75mm
above;
5. Test flame temperature: 950±40℃;
6. Sample: The sample is a section of the finished product, not
less than 1200mm, with 100mm of sheath and covering removed at both
ends. The wires at both ends of the cable
should be connected in accordance with the electrical connection;
7. Test voltage: 100~1000V adjustable;
8. Test current: 100~260mA adjustable.
II.BS Mechanical vibration and fire resistance tests:
1. Wall and its installation: The wall is made of heat-resistant,
flame-retardant material and is fixed on two horizontal steel
beams, one on the upper part of the board and the other on the
bottom of the board. The board is about 900mm long, 300mm wide and
9mm thick, and the total weight of the wall (i.e. the board plus
the supporting frame) is 10 ± 0.5kg. Each steel beam is a square
steel tube about 1m long and 25mm thick. If filling material is
required, it needs to be placed inside the steel beam. The upper
steel beam must be fixed to the board so that its upper surface is
flush with the upper edge of the board. Each steel beam and the
outer edge of the board have a horizontal hole, the exact position
of which is determined by the requirements of the specific support
pads and the supporting frame. The wall is bonded to the frame by 4
rubber bushings, the bushings are about 32mm in diameter and 20mm
thick.
2. Heat source: burner with nozzle length of 500mm in accordance
with AGF-1857B;
3. Temperature measurement: 1.5mm diameter armored thermometer, the
thermometer passes through the wall and the thermometer is 8mm to
10mm away from the wall. The temperature is measured by the
following procedure: tie a thermometer at one end of a low-carbon
steel rod with a diameter of 3mm±5% and a length of 300mm so that
it can measure the temperature of the rod. Grasp the rod close to
the flame and keep it at a distance of 40mm to 50mm from the flame.
When the flame temperature is 950°C, the temperature of the steel
rod can reach 400°C in 10s to 20s, and when the flame temperature
is 650°C, the temperature of the rod can reach 400°C in 20s to 40s.
4. Test flame temperature: 950 ±40 °C.
5. Vibration device: It consists of a low-carbon steel rod
(diameter 25mm± 5%, length 600mm± 5%). The longitudinal section of
the rod is parallel to the wall and 200mm above the top of the
wall. An axis divides it into two parts of 200mm and 400mm, with
the longer part facing the wall. It is dropped from a parallel
position to the middle of the wall at 60°C at 30±2S intervals.
6. Test voltage: 100~1000V adjustable;
7. Test current: 100~260mA adjustable.
III.BS Water and fire resistance test:
1. Heat source: a burner that complies with AGF-1857B and has a
nozzle length of 500mm;
2. Temperature measurement: a thermometer with a diameter of 1.5mm
armor is placed on the lower surface of the cable;
3. Test flame temperature: 650±40 °C;
4. Water spray: a nozzle is installed on the test bracket, in the
middle of the burner. The water pressure is 250KPa to 350KPa, and
0.25 liters per square meter to 0.30 liters per square meter of
water is sprayed near the sample. This rate needs to be measured
with a collection tray, which has enough depth to make its long
axis parallel to the axis of the cable and placed in the center.
This tray is about 100mm wide and 400mm long.
5. Sample: Samples larger than 1500mm are taken from finished
products and have been subjected to bending tests at ambient
temperature. 100mm of sheath and covering layer are removed at both
ends. The wires at both ends of the cable should be properly
treated in accordance with the electrical connection and
manufacturer's recommendations;
6. Test voltage: 100~1000V adjustable;
7. Test current: 100~260mA adjustable.
IV.BS8491-2008 Mechanical vibration resistance, fire resistance and
water resistance test:
1. Test ladder: The impact test ladder is composed of a steel
frame. The two vertical steel members in the center of the ladder
can be adjusted left and right to test cables of different sizes.
The test ladder is 1200±100mm long and 600±50mm high. The total
mass of the test ladder is 18±1kg.
2. Heat source: A burner with a nozzle length of 500mm in
accordance with AGF-1857B, shared with the BS mechanical vibration
and fire resistance test torch;
3. Temperature measurement: Fix the 10±2*300±50*900±100mm
insulating heat-resistant test board on the test ladder, and
install two 1.5mm diameter thermocouples on the ladder in a
horizontal state, so that the center line is 100±10mm above the
bottom of the test board and the tip is 20±1mm in front of the test
board. The center of the torch nozzle is located 50±10mm below
100±10mm in front of the two thermocouples. After lighting the
blowtorch, adjust the gas flow rate, record the temperature value
every 30 seconds within a 10-minute period, and the calculated
temperature average should be within the range of 830~870°C. If the
temperature is unqualified, the flow rate and the position of the
blowtorch can be adjusted within the standard tolerance range for
verification.
4. Vibration device: It consists of a steel rod (diameter 25mm±
0.1mm, length 600mm± 5mm). The longitudinal section of the rod is
parallel to the wall and 200mm higher than the top of the wall. An
axis divides it into two parts of 200mm and 400mm, with the long
part facing the wall. It falls from a parallel position to the
middle of the wall at 60°C at an interval of 30± 2S.
5. Nozzle: A nozzle with a water outlet of 6.3mm that complies with
BS EN60529014-1992. The center line of the nozzle is at an angle of
45±5 degrees to the vertical plane. The nozzle is 500±25mm away
from the impact point of the sample. The flow meter is adjusted to
make the water flow rate 12.5L/min.
6. Test voltage: 100~1000V adjustable;
7. Test current: 100~260mA adjustable.
